Peaky Blinders came to our screens and became one of the most unlikeliest hit dramas of the last decade, and will continue to be as fans eagerly await the sixth series!

Quick to jump on the popularity of the programme, Endemol Shine Gaming have announced the launch of a five year deal (excluding the UK and US) for Pragmatic Play to have to rights to a Peaky Blinders online slot, live casino, instant win games and virtual sports, featuring character from the programme. It is thought the first products will be launched as soon as May 2020.

Iconic brand

The Director of Games and Gambling at Endemol Shine Group, Anil Mistry, spoke of the excitement of this announcement: “It’s great to work with Pragmatic Play to create brand new games with the Peaky Blinders IP. It’s one of our most iconic and promising brands and we are excited by the potential of this partnership.”

Peaky Blinders first came to our screens in September 2013 and brought real grit and drama in a way that totally captivated the audience. Set in Birmingham in 1919 in the aftermath of World War 1, we follow the exploits of the main character Tommy Shelby, his family and criminal gang. It’s loosely based on a real life youth criminal gang who were prevalent in Birmingham in the later 1890s to early 1900’s. Five series and multiple awards later and fans are eagerly awaiting the sixth series!

Melissa Summerfield, the Chief Commercial Officer at Pragmatic Play is equally excited about the launch.
