Evolution Gaming gains license in South Africa

Live casino software giants, Evolution Gaming, have announced they’ve been given the green light to roll out its products in South Africa after being granted its national manufacture license  from the Wester Cape Gambling and Racing Board.

Evolution Gaming Expansion

This expansion into the region is great news for both Evolution and players as they are now able to deliver products, and those of its recent acquisition, Ezugi, to all South African online casinos.

Evolution Gaming announced in 2019, that it had sealed the deal in acquiring Ezugi, a live dealer gaming provider, for an undisclosed sum of anywhere between $12 and $18million. The CEO of Ezugi, Kfir Kugler, expressed his excitement of the new licensing which enables the Ezugi products to be available to South African players. He said: “There is long term potential in the regulated South African market to deliver Evolution powered live dealer games and fixed odds solutions to operators and to bring players the most entertaining live games and live game show games available in the world, alongside exciting new betting products.”

It goes without saying, the CEO at Evolution, Martin Carlesund, was keen to express his excitement at the expansion: “We are delighted to have received this license and look forward to opening up our world-leading live dealer games portfolio to operators and players in South Africa.
