Bet365 Signs “Significant Sponsorship Deal” in its Commitment to UK Greyhound Racing
Bet365 the UK’s leading sportsbook and casino operator has shown its commitment to the British sport of Greyhound Racing by signing a significant deal to promote the sport, a first for the industry giant.
Greyhound Racing has been a popular sport in the UK since its introduction in 1876, six dogs raced after an artificial hare over a 400-yard straight but initially, it didn’t take off. In 1926 a mechanical hare and an oval track were introduced, and a newfound sport was born.

Each competition, held at the Oxford Greyhound Stadium will feature 48 dogs, with the winner picking up the top prize of £10,000. Racing will also be held at Towcester including the Greyhound Derby on May 19th, 2022.
Nathan Corden, a rep at the Oxford Greyhound and Towcester stadiums said, “It is fantastic news for everyone involved in Greyhound Racing that Bet365 have decided to expand their sponsorship portfolio into Greyhound Racing, and we are delighted that they have chosen Towcester stadiums.
“They have committed to four category 1 events with the Bet365 Empress Stakes in September and Bet365 Puppy Oaks in November headlining at Towcester.”
