Bet UK review
When you’re looking for a site that does not mess about with fun, entertaining themes and concepts, unnecessary bells and whistles, and design concepts that are far more elaborate than they are relevant, or indeed needed, then sometimes a no nonsense name can really prick your ears up, and Bet UK is about as no nonsense a name as you are likely to find!
Launched in May 2012, Bet UK pretty much classifies as one of the old guard now, due to the ridiculous number of casino sites that have turned up in the five years (at the time of writing) since then. Bet UK has had a fair reputation for a few years now, but with competition constantly increasing, relying on the name you already have is, at best, a risk, and at worst, quite silly. With that in mind, what does Bet UK bring to ensure it maintains its position, or even improves it?
With (at the time of writing) a £10 free bonus for signing up, a 100% match on your first deposit, and three 200% reload bonuses thrown in, the welcome bonus here is certainly a selling point here, and there is a host of other promotions for non-new players, so in terms of bonuses, this site should keep your attention for a fair while, but what else does Bet UK have to offer?
Design and theme
The bulldog that stands proudly (I think it’s supposed to be proudly) atop the Bet UK logo makes it immediately clear that UK isn’t just a title here, all things British is very much the theme. That means a red, white, and blue colour scheme, with sporadic bulldogs and other random British imagery scattered around. That’s about it in terms of the truly creative here, but with a name like Bet UK, it would’ve been optimistic to expect much more than that.
You will also get the usual run of the mill photographs of elegant looking ladies in black dresses stood near roulette tables, because that’s apparently how you tempt in prospective online casino players.
A collection of thumbnails allows you instant access to a small selection of the games on offer at the site, and navigation is simple enough.
The one issue that comes up really, is by making this site so quintessentially British, bet UK is highly likely to put off players from other countries, which, when you consider the size of the global market, is probably not that smart.
There are a few other sites that use Britishness as their overall concept, and they are, pretty much without exception, disappointing in terms of gaming choices. This means that all Bet UK has to do to be best its rivals, is offer a wide array of games. Perhaps surprisingly, that is exactly what Bet UK does, with titles here coming from the likes of Bally Technologies, Bede Gaming, Evolution, Eyecon, IGT Interactive, Microgaming, OpenBet, Realistic Games, SG Gamine, and Williams Interactive. That list guarantees variety of game type, it promises classic titles and new releases, and it means you are likely to come across a few games you are yet to play, all of this works very much in the favour of Bet UK.
Whether you are a slots fan, or you prefer table and card games in a live casino setting, Bet UK has you covered here.
This really is a top-quality site when it comes to the games on offer, and in terms of promotions as well, which makes it a shame that the underwhelming, and frankly boring design concept may put off many players before they ever realise that is true.
