Net Ent offers cryptic clues to a slot launching later this month
How good are you at guessing cryptic clues? NetEnt have made sure that they have our attention this month, by giving us a sneak preview at a new slot machine. However, the YouTube preview trailer doesn’t really tell us much about the game at all, except that, potentially, there will be a lion involved.
Keep Guessing
The trailer (well, more of a teaser, really) is the precursor to a more formal announcement which will take place on Wednesday (January 17). At just 22 seconds long, there isn’t a whole lot we can glean from this video preview, save for the fact that a lion makes up a part of the clip.
Rumours are rife as to what the new slot may be. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has been mulled, whilst other players are thinking that it may be The Jungle Book, or perhaps The Wizard of Oz. One of the most promising theories going around the net is that it could be a sequel to Jungle Spirit: Call of the Wild. For the time being, all we have is speculation.
On Wednesday, everybody is hoping that Net Entertainment will finally end the guessing game by launching a full trailer of their new game or at least giving us the title and thus the subject matter of the new slot. Until then, it is rumour central.
Feb launch
Whatever the new game is likely to be, it is unlikely to launch until the end of February at the earliest. It could even launch as late as spring or summer, if it is a particularly big title we’re talking about, with NetEnt likely to use the International Casino Expo (ICE) event held in February as the staging ground for the new slot.
