Aristocrat Leisure Chief Digital Officer stands down
Aristocrat Leisure has made an announcement that Patrick Ramsey is to leave his post as Chief Digital Officer. The Australian organisation, which offers slot machines and gambling technology, has informed the industry that Ramsey will take up a new role as non-executive advisor. This change is planned for a deadline of 1st October, providing Aristocrat has been able to comply with regulations regarding such an amendment.
Seeking to appoint a new CDO
Patrick Ramsey started working at Aristocrat in January 2016, and was responsible for digital development and client delivery. The board of directors has consulted with their corporate stakeholders on the matter, and have assured the stakeholders that they are seeking to appoint a new Chief Digital Officer.
The Search Is On
The company has engaged the services of several executive selection agencies, and are awaiting the results of their activities. Aristocrat have stated that they are willing to consider candidates who have been working for other organisations, and that they will also allow people who already work for the company to apply.
Experience and Skills
Aristocrat Chairman Ian Blackburn is delighted that Ramsey is joining the board as a non-executive advisor. He says that the new board member has ‘intimate knowledge of Aristocrat’s operating environment’, as well as an ‘understanding of digital gaming and deep expertise in the largest market of North America’. Ramsey is understood to have been Chief Executive Officer at a North American organisation for some time, and it is all this experience and skill that Blackburn values for the Aristocrat board.
Potential to Unlock
Patrick Ramsey has said that he is ‘proud’ of what he has achieved as Chief Digital Officer, and describes the creation of ‘growth in the digital business’. Not content with ending his contribution to Aristocrat there, Ramsey says that he is ‘equally excited about our strategy and the potential we have yet to unlock’, so it seems Ramsey’s success won’t end here.
